北へ

So disappointed a lot of friends can't go to the carnival on Sun but still looking forward it~ Hopefully something will go wrong to give some extra bam to the day :p

I'm a little hooked on Christina Aquilera recently. Holy c#@p. What a voice. So powerful yand such range. Simply amazing. And after seeing a video of her performing when she was just 9 was simply"chills" worthy.

Going north tomorrow but a little scared. My friends and colleagues have been telling stories of Quentin Tarantino proportions. Yikes. Why is it that its so different up there? Why is it that the chinese people can seem to turn a blind eye on the problems happening in their own country. It feels almost as if robberies, fraud, violence and tragedies due lack of care is so everyday now, people just seem to shrug it off. We are taught to protect ourselves but have we really thought of why these problems persist even as China is experiencing unprecedented economic growth? Is all this strife and difficulties necessary for the Chinese people to grow? I feel guilty raising questions I have no answers to or can't act upon but i still feel it necessary to ask. Don't know if anybody actually reads this blog, but if you have answers then leave some comments please~

Note of the day: Russia will start to play nasty to hold on to its current economic prowess as the Iraq war has already held on for 4 years and the US can't keep it up forever. It also isn't helping that Azerbaijan gets ready to supply oil to eastern Europe, one of Russia's top customers. It would be interesting to see how that pipeline gets built through Russian territory unscathed.

Have to start somewhere I guess

Amazing how you can want to do something for 2 years but when you actually can do it you just keep putting it off........so now you know how this blog got started.

Well, today I guess I'll let my readers have it easy and go for the standard opening speech:
1. I welcome all those who are willing to stop by and read my blog and I wish that sometime in the near future they will actually have a life instead of having to spend all their time reading about somebody else's.
2. For those of you not offended by that last statement, I'm serious. Get a life. For those who are offended, I welcome you into the ring!

I guess the most annoying bit of my day would be how easily people can give up on being more creative. Today we finally get to the details of the interior design of my new flat. Some people who are also involved thought that just because the space wasn't all that large the design is set and there is no need to think more about it. What cr#p. So what if the space is small? Isn't it all the more reason to use one's noggin more to make the most of it? Also, even if the ideas don't turn out useful, what's the harm in thinking outside the box once in a while? Luckily the interior designer we met up with today was quite capable and solved a lot of the problems and proved I was right in asking for the illustration first before the work begins. It's awesome being right :p Its scary to think this is only the beginning and that tension will be running even higher. Either way, this I have to say to people who are afraid of being creative: stop being cowardly and lazy and making excuses for yourselves, even the best ways eventually get worn out without constant maintenance.

Since I'm a firm believer in balance, I'll say something nice to even things out. Lunch today was nice and cheap.

That's all folks.
